Enjoy the luxury of hot spring bathing in your own room at any time of day
Hot spring (onsen) bathing in Atami dates back some 1,500 years, but the resort’s fame really began to spread during the Edo Period, when members of the samurai class, including the shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu, as well as farmers and merchants, came to seek relief for sickness and injuries. Atami today is the perfect spot to indulge in hot spring bathing and gourmet cuisine surrounded by the scenic beauty of Atami.
