CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGAGE AFTER CHECK-OUT?

Luggage can be kept after check-out for the same day only, so please ask our staff. (Please keep valuables, fragile items, and items that require temperature/humidity control with you.) We also have a ``carry service'' that delivers your luggage to Kyoto Station, so please use it if you like.

CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGEGE OR SEND TO THE HOTEL BEFORE CHECK IN?

When sending your luggage, please clearly indicate your reservation name and check-in date on the shipping label, and send it to the address below. We can accept three days prior to your check-in date. Please note that we are unable to accept valuables, fragile items, or items requiring temperature and humidity control.

On the day of arrival, you have the option to bring your luggage to the hotel or you can also use of a general 'Carry Service' available in Kyoto station, delivery to the hotel before your check-in time.

WE WILL BE STAYING FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION, SUCH AS AN ANNIVERSARY. CAN WE ARRANGE FOR FLOWERS OR CAKES?

For your stay on special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, we are pleased to offer options for cakes and flower arrangements. Please make your request at least 3 days prior to your stay. Cake ¥3,630~ (tax included), and flower arrangements from ¥5,500~ (tax included). Feel free to contact us for details regarding delivery timing and any other inquiries.

DO YOU HAVE CONNECTING ROOMS?

Unfortunately, we do not have connecting rooms. However, we accept requests for rooms near each other or other preferences. Please note that room assignments are subject to availability and room type, and we appreciate your understanding if we are unable to accommodate your preference.

DO YOU HAVE AMENITIES AND RENTAL ITEMS FOR CHILDREN?

We have amenities and items available for children to ensure a comfortable stay for families.

COULD YOU PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE RATES FOR CHILDREN?

When entering age of children for reservation, we will provide the following rates for child accommodation:

  • With dinner and breakfast: ¥21,600
  • With breakfast: ¥15,400
  • Without meals: ¥13,200
  • Bedding will be provided with an extra bed.
  • Meals will be a short course for children.

    Preschool Children:
    With dinner and breakfast: ¥6,050
    With breakfast: ¥2,200
    Without meals: Free of charge
    Bed-sharing or providing a baby cot (up to 2 years old) is available.
    Additional charges apply when using an extra bed.
    Meals will be served on a child's plate.
    Junior High School Students and above are same as the adult rate.
CAN I MAKE SPECIFY DETAILS SUCH AS THE ROOM FLOOR, LOCATION, AND ROOM NUMBER?

We can accommodate requests, however, please be aware that depending on the day's availability, we may not be able to meet your preferences. Some rooms may have steps, so if you have any concerns, please contact us.

CAN I MAKE PREPAYMENT IN ADVANCE?

Please choose the option for prepayment during reservation on website. If you have already made a reservation, kindly contact the hotel to arrange.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION?

Even if not available on THE HIRAMATSU Kyoto website, we accept reservations up to one year in advance. Please note that for dates not available on the website, rates are not confirmed.

IS THERE A LAUNDRY SERVICE?

Unfortunately, there is no on-site laundry service or washing machine available. However, please feel free to inquire if you require services such as stain removal.

    If you arrive before the check-in time (before 3.00pm), you are welcome to wait in the hotel lounge.
    *In case of early arrival, we appreciate a prior notification to the hotel.
IS THERE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?

Unfortunately, we do not provide shuttle services. However, we can assist you in booking a taxi. If you wish to arrange this service, please inform us by the day before your stay.

HOW CAN I GET THERE FROM THE NEAREST STATION?

Approximately 3 minutes on foot from Kyoto City Subway Karasuma Oike Station.

HOW MANY DINING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

There are two dining options: Italian cuisine at 'Ristorante La Luce' and Japanese cuisine at 'Kappo Izumi.'

'Ristorante La Luce' features a dining space with a captivating beam that has been in this location for approximately 120 years. The chef creates original Italian dishes using local ingredients.

'Kappo Izumi' offers a counter with 8 seats and one table. The chef prepares dishes right in front of you, and the pine trees in the garden provide a tranquil atmosphere between meals.

CAN I ADD BREAKFAST TO MY ROOM-ONLY RESERVATION?

You can choose from Western or Japanese breakfast options. Please make the request by 7.00pm the day before.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION FOR DINNING?

Ristorante La Luce': There is no age restriction, and guests with children are welcome.

'Kappo Izumi': *Age restriction applies. Children 12 years old and older are welcome to dine with us. (Serving the same dishes as adults)

IS THERE A CHILDREN'S MENU?

We offer a children's menu at Ristorante La Luce.
For dining at the restaurant only or for children not included in the plan, please make a reservation in advance.

Children's plate (up to preschool age): ¥3,630
Children's short course (up to elementary school): ¥6,050

CAN WHEELCHAIRS AND STROLLERS BE USED IN THE DINING AREA?

Wheelchairs and baby strollers are welcome in the restaurant. If assistance is needed, please feel free to approach our staff.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

There is no specific dress code; however, please refrain from using the Loungewear and slippers provided in the guestrooms.

Do you accommodate for allergy?

If you have allergy concerns, please inform us by the day before your visit. We will prepare a special menu to ensure you can enjoy your meal.

IS THERE ROOM SERVICE?

We are happy to accommodate your requests. However, availability may vary depending on the restaurant's situation.

IS THERE A PLACE TO HAVE LUNCH ON-SITE?

We regret to inform you that both the restaurant and room service do not operate for lunch. We would be happy to provide recommendations for nearby dining options.

CAN I BRING OWN WINE?

You are welcome to bring your own wine; however, there is a corkage fee of 6,600 yen (tax included) per bottle. *There is no corkage fee for bringing your own wine to your room.

DO YOU OFFER VEGAN OPTIONS?

While we do not have a dedicated menu, we can accommodate vegan preferences. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please inform us by two days before your visit, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

CAN I REQUEST SMALLER PORTIONS FOR MY MEALS?

We can adjust the portions to suit your preference. Please inform us in advance, and while we will accommodate your request, please note that certain dishes may be served in their standard sizes.

We offer in-room spa treatments and shiatsu massage services for guests staying at our hotel.

Yes, it is possible, subject to availability.

If there is availability, we can accommodate same-day reservations. Please feel free to inquire with our staff.

Guests are required to use the elevator to reach the guest room floors.

Unfortunately, we do not have a fitness center. However, we can provide information about jogging course for your enjoyment.

CAN I RECEIVE HIRAMATSU MEMBER BENEFITS?

Benefits for Hiramatsu members are applicable only for guests who make reservations via phone or the official website.

Please note that certain plans, such as early bird discounts, may not be eligible for shareholder benefits or
Memoire de Hiramatsu member privileges. If you make a reservation through third-party sites or travel agencies,
please be aware that points may not be awarded,
and points cannot be used for payment of expenses such as dining.

WHAT IS THE VIEW FROM THE ROOMS?

Our hotel is situated along MUROMACHI Street, surrounded by residential homes and shops. While the rooms do not offer scenic views from the windows, we have created a serene atmosphere inside. Our interior features a traditional Japanese garden adorned with bamboo and pine, providing a tranquil escape. The rooms are designed with meticulous craftsmanship, inviting you to unwind and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

IS THERE A SMOKING AREA?

This is a non-smoking hotel. Please refrain from smoking, vaping or using smokeless tobacco products in guest rooms or on any part of the hotel’s premises.

We regret to inform you that we do not have on-site parking. However, we can provide information on nearby coin parking facilities.

WHAT IS IN THE MINIBAR?

We provide Perrier, juices, Alain Milliat juices, Kyoto Beer, and mineral water. (Complimentary)

CAN YOU DELIVER LUGGAGE OR SOUVENIRS?

We also assist with delivery arrangements. We provide packaging materials such as cardboard boxes, so please inquire if you wish to use this service.
