Since our first restaurant opened in 1982, Hiramatsu’s chefs have believed in the importance of meeting local producers, understanding the climate, and choosing ingredients in person. The Shinshu* region, where The Hiramastu Karuizawa Miyota is located, is one of Japan’s most fruitful, blessed with a rich variety of outstanding seasonal foods, including fruit, vegetables and game. Drawing inspiration from this wealth of ingredients and talking to the people who produce them, the hotel’s chefs seek to perfect unique dishes that can only be enjoyed here.

You can also enjoy Italian cuisine from La Lumière Claire in the comfort of your own room. Available at lunchtime too, this service is perfect for guests staying multiple nights. The late-night snack menu includes popular treats such as soba noodles and o-chazuke.
